Generous Gems works to process and ship you order as fast as possible. If you order an item that is not in stock, made to order or needs personalization (sized or engraved), the order takes longer to receive. Even if you choose next day, if an item says made to order, it will need made before it ships via the method you selected. If you want the item in a timely manner we recommend priorioty mail over first class, as first class does take longer.
Most of our items are in-stock. Orders for in-stock items begin processing as soon as your purchase is completed. Orders are shipped once the items are located in stock, your payment is approved, and the order is fulfilled.
Example: If you order an in-stock item before 11AM on Monday, the order will typically leave our facility in 3-4 full business days, so your order should ship on or before Thursday.
After your order leaves our facility, delivery times vary according to the shipping method you select during checkout and the location of your shipping address. Please note that business days are Monday-Friday, they do not include US holidays. If you order an item on Thursday, after 11AM, your order will typically ship on or before the following Wednesday. Stock Availability. Due to fluctuating precious metal markets and shopping demand, when some items are sold out they are being retired by the designers. If your item is not available we will let you know as soon as possible.

Generous Gems provides FREE shipping on all orders over $250 shipped via the
USPS First Class or FREE UPS Ground on orders over $500 in the continental United States. Orders over
$500 shipped in the US
are sent via UPS only. If you prefer, we do offer expedited shipping (our
handling time still applies). Please note, during holidays the USPS will
not guarantee Express delivery (usually a 1-2 day service). Priority mail
is typically a 3-4 delivery time (after processing). If sent via
the USPS first class (our lowest rate), your package will generally arrive four
to seven business days after it is shipped from Generous Gems. Most items ship
from Generous Gems within 3-4 business days.
Rates. Why don't we have free shipping on orders under $250? We prefer to keep our pricing competitive, to offer the lowest prices we need to charge a nominal shipping fee. For orders under $250, we offer USPS shipping for $2.95 or UPS shipping for $10.95. All orders are sent with a tracking number through both services
Special Note on Overnight or 2day shipments: if your order is placed after 3 PM Eastern Standard Time on a regular business day, it will begin processing the following regular business day. If you place an order on a Holiday, Saturday or Sunday, it will begin being processed the next business day. Saturdays and Sundays are not considered business days for order processing. It typically takes 24-48 business hours for an order to be processed. Example: If you order on Friday night after 5PM, and select 2day shipping, your order will typically ship on Tuesday and arrive on Thursday in lieu of any weather delays. In some instances it will ship Monday, but we'd rather under-promise and over-deliver.
NEED to have it fast??? While we are here to take your orders and answer questions, orders do not ship on Saturday or Sunday or a Holiday. Customer satisfaction is our top priority. If you need your package fast for an upcoming anniversary or special occasion, or if you need it shipped to an alternate address to ensure a surprise, let us know and we will be happy to work with you. Extra Delivery Time. Please note, some items are made to order as they are Generous Gems custom pieces. These pieces, and rings that need sizing, will require additional time for delivery. We are in the EST time zone (Ohio). SIGNATURE: In some instances a signature may be required by the Courier based on value or location. If you are concerned about receiving your package please let us know.
Return and Exchange Policy
Items may be returned up to 10 days after they are received by you. If you need to return a purchase, we ask that you contact us within 10 days for a return number.
Some items are non-returnable (custom made, engraved, personalized, etc.). Please contact us if special circumstances apply. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us after the recipient has received the item and we will instruct you on how to return the item/items purchased. We issue a full refund of the purchase price (less shipping charges) via the method you paid. Or can offer a store credit or exchange. We are more than willing to help you find the perfect item. All products returned to us are fully inspected prior to issuing a credit to your card, processing an exchange or issuing a store credit. GenerousGems.com will not accept a return that shows signs of wear or alteration, scratches or blemishes, or has been engraved or sized.
We also require that you have a Return Authorization Number. Please contact us with any questions. If you experience difficulty with an earring or toe ring order, due to manufacturing, please contact us for assistance. Jewelry sold by Generous Gems requires special precautions when being shipped.
To return any piece purchased from us you MUST follow these steps:
1. Call or Email Generous Gems 1-888-724-4483 for a Return Authorization Number.
2. Secure the jewelry inside its original jewelry box or bag. Make sure to include all packaging, including any protective wrapping. If there was an appraisal or diamond certificate enclose that also.
3. Place everything (from step 2) inside an appropriate shipping box, and cover the box with packing tape so it does not come undone or damaged while in transit.
4. Write your Return Authorization on the outside of the box next to the shipping address.
Ship the item via a method that can be tracked (USPS, UPS, Fedex), you may need to purchase tracking services depending on the method you use. We ask that you insure the item for the full purchase price for your protection from loss or damage. Please keep the tracking number in your records if the item does get lost.
We will notify you once your return has been processed. If you request a refund, your account will be credited within several days of this email notification (less shipping fess). The time it takes for your refund to show up on your card depends on your issuing bank. Please note that any unauthorized, improperly packaged, or non-insured returns will be returned to sender.

Effect of the Internet Tax Freedom Act
Companies selling over the Internet are subject to the same sales tax collection requirements as any other retailers. Remote sellers (including Internet retailers and catalog companies) are generally required to collect taxes where they have a physical selling presence. If they do not have any such presence, they are not required to collect sales taxes.
The Internet Tax Freedom Act (ITFA) has been renewed through November 1, 2014.
Please note, the ITFA was primarily intended to prevent state and local governments from imposing new or discriminatory taxes on Internet transactions and on Internet access. Despite the name of the Act, ITFA does not preclude state and local governments from imposing existing sales tax collection requirements on companies selling over the Internet.
