Purple ribbons are used for many different causes. One is the untimely loss off a child. Some losses are unexpalined, some are accidental, and some are caused by illnesses or diseases that desperately need research funding.

There are two National Awareness Events we are familiar with: October 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. November is National Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Awareness Month. If you know of any other, or have any information links that may help others deal with the loss of a loved one, in particular a child, please send the information to us.
