Is November's Contest Winner. Here is the story she sent us about fall, it is wonderful!

During the Fall here in Oklahoma, on my weekends, I like to go hiking throughout the many wildlife management areas that our State offers for public use. There are sixty-four areas here where people have access to fishing, hiking, hunting and various other activities. Many are located adjacent to or nearby our well-manicured State Parks which have restrooms, picnic areas and camping sites. Oklahoma has numerous lakes which are so beautiful when surrounded by the colorful landscape of our beautiful fall season.

The trees are spectacular and bursting with color. The tall native grasses turn purple and golden, seemingly content to perform a slow dance in a gentle breeze for my viewing pleasure. The last of the wildflowers make an impressive showy final appearance. The tranquil and relaxing aroma of earth soothes my spirit. Wildlife is abundant as animals scurry around preparing themselves for the approaching winter. Hawks circle in clear blue skies above while deer graze in the meadows below. It is a requirement for my soul to experience a oneness with nature so as to keep the daily aspects of weekday worklife all in perspective.
